For years I have been buying my wigs by the same SM. I don't get wash and sets by her bc I cant say I have been 100 percent happy at at $50 a pop...I need to be happy. Although I have bought several wis from her I have only been happy with 2. One wig I bought several years ago has been sitting in my closet for about 3 years. Recently, I had it recut and wow, what a difference it has made to the wig. I wish it were easy to find an sm , who knows how to fit, cut and style all 100% but I don't think thats possible!

Location?
Honestly you may need to find someone who sells the wig. Someone who fix and cuts it. Someone who colors it. Someone who styles it.

They all are a niche.
I have someone I trust for set. I have someone I trust to buy. I have someone I trust to color. I have someone I trust to take out hair and fix cap

They are all different people.

If you're in Brooklyn, would you mind sharing who you use? Thanks.

thank you, I live in Brooklyn..I didnt write this post necessarily to find that specific sm more like a vent.

I recently decided to have my shaitel recut and I went to a different SM..I cant believe I ve been wearing my shaitel for years without a really good cut..didnt realize until I had it recut. MY SM also does repairs yet, I recently took it to someone else and ended up paying a fortune to have several different types of adjustments. Yet my current sm is top, top..1 stop shop and yet I realize I could do better..its just not that easy to find and so time consuming to run around to each "specialist"

I'm desperately looking for a SM for a new sheitel. If you or anyone else could recommend someone, I'd appreciate it. Would also love to know where I can cut, color, and fix a sheitel. I'm in Brooklyn. TIA.

I think it’s just trial and error. Also, selling something is quite different than artistic ability, or craftsmanship. Like, someone can sell a car, but I’m sure they can’t rebuild the thing. And the person rebuilding it might not know about computers and cameras. That’s why my last two I had custom made. At least it was artistry+craftsmanship which equated to me purchasing it. But it definitely was more on the craft/artistry side of things than just selling. It was like making the sale was just the outcome of the first two things .

I would def recommend Natani Sheitels. I know I keep mentioning them, but I’ve gotten so many compliments and I truly love my sheitels. They really are masters of their craft. And if I need it fixed or spruced up, I have the option to mail it to them for fixing/styling/etc.
