What's a fair price for a dining room chair

What's a fair price for a good quality dining room chair? Were looking to buy new chairs. We don't mind used. Dh saw an offer for $620 a chair used. To me this sounds like an exorbitant price. Were looking at both new and used. But we have no idea what's considered a decent price.

That does sound exorbitant unless it's like the chairs I grew up with which cost 1000 a piece. (Custom made, wood, genuine leather on back, front and seat). It really depends on the quality and design of the chair.

We recently shopped for chairs. Standard dining room chairs in local frum stores are between $300-$500 a chair. We saw many nice options for $300-$350.

Right before the pandemic I bought 8 new dining room chairs at $140 a chair. Prices probably went up now.
Mine are not top quality but they look nice.

Mine are a few years old but not used too much, I'd sell them for $75-$100 a piece.
I have 8 of them (6 regular, 2 armchair).
(I'm only selling because I'm hoping to move soon and try minimalism.)
