My sil is getting married the last week of August. I have a gorgeous black velvet and lace gown that I wore last winter that I would love to use again. Is it weird to be in velvet at that point?

Light coloured summer gowns are often worn in the winter but winter gowns are not usually worn in the summer.
I know how hard it's to find a suitable gown, good luck.
