I know this is so so random. Something that come up recently in conversation though. For reference, I'm talking about 100% healthy mothers. And I'm taking specifically about appearance cuteness. Not personality. Do they all really really think their kids are super cute/handsome/pretty/good looking? Do they ever think of their kids as not so? Totally just curious, I realize this is so so random!

I think my kids are super cute looking and handsome
Obviously I’m bias but I think other people would agree with me on their looks
I get stopped in the street all the time on their looks

I know that some of my kids are prettier than others. I think all have a certain chein and I love them all dearly but as far as objective beauty goes, nope they’re not all the same gorgeous.

Yes (what a beautiful child/baby)
In the store and when I’m out
They are little so I think it’s more common for that age

My children are beautiful, the most beautiful children in the world, so I can’t answer for you.
If you want, I can ask my neighbor. Her children are hideous.

Clearly I am kidding. B”H I think all healthy mothers think their children are beautiful/cute/delicious…. Whatever adjective works for you.

Super cut yes. The most gorgeous ever? Some more than others. In general I’m not the type of person to go nuts over a child’s looks.

Someone actually stopped me when I was walking in the mall with my daughter and asked if I'd ever considered signing her up with a modeling agency Smile I took the compliment but was like, uh no. Not the life I want for her rn!

Oh, I think we all get those comments regardless if our kids are gorgeous or not. Especially when in non jewish areas or on trips & department stores. Some people comment on every baby they see.

One of my kids got such comments all the time, from all kinds of people, frum and not. It lasted until she was about 8/9. Not because she stopped being beautiful, but I think people realize it's not so appropriate to make such comments to older kids.

I do consider myself a healthy mother, but some of my kids weren't very good looking as babies. I thought they were adorable, but more based on personality, not looks. One of my sons was very funny looking until his upsherin, something about the long hair just didn't work with his face.

I love my kids to pieces and they are the cutest things ever but are they all gorgeous or super pretty. No. One of my dds are stunning another ds has the most beautiful eyes but other features less so. I’m not biased about my kids. Still love then all the same and wouldn’t trade them for anything in the world!

Yes. I get stopped by Jewish people in the grocery store who tell me how cute my daughter is. Then they ask how old she is , etc. I think what they find cute is her personality, not necessarily her looks.

My oldest is going through quite an awkward stage. I’m not blind. He was an exceptionally beautiful child until about age 9. Like I said, I’m not blind. Either way, he is a beautiful person and he will grow out of the awkward stage. I don’t think he’ll ever look like a model, but he’ll be handsome enough. My 5 and 12 year olds are quite good looking . I get comments on the 5 year old all the time. The 12 year old not as much , he’s older .

It’s very normal for them to go through the awkward looking phase. At around age 17/18 they look more handsome again.

I agree. Either way, I couldn’t possibly love him more. He’s perfect the way he is . Looks don’t make a difference.

I am realistic about my children's strengths & weaknesses. I am not the type of mom who thinks there is nobody out in the world like them.

I don't see that can be wrong with that and why it was as necessary to mention that the mothers were "healthy". Everyone can have their own opinion, especially mothers about looks of their children.
Yes I think my kids are really good-looking. But I also think so about many other kids. I have a very wide range of looks thwt I consider cute or good-looking.
