yes, post more information about the specific situation of the girl and people can better guide you.
Providence takes girls from lakewood/monsey/bklyn, etc....
In the past, they took mamish ANYONE. They have cleaned house quite a bit and for the past 5 years or so have been taking only solid girls. They don't need to be the most yeshivish, but they have to be in a mindset where they want to do the right thing and don't want to be "otd" or whatever you call it.
For example, some of the girls have academic issues where they got lost in a big class. Another subset of girls come from homes where there was some sort of issue that affected the stability of the home., so it was best that she be away. and then, there are always girls who are good kids and want to do the right thing, but maybe need a bit more freedom and can't really toe the line in Monsey or Lakewood or wherever.
The girls board by people in the neighborhood. They have usually have about 7-8 boarding girls each year, and depending on the particular girl, they can really integrate well into the community, be invited for shabbos, etc....
If you want more information, call the school at 401-331-5327. Ask to speak with Rabbi Shinerman.
