The fire is still out off control, and now that it is dark they can't use they fire fighting planes, so we are down to on the ground fire fighting until first light.

Having said that, it is not currently in Telzstone. Telzstone is alternately known as Kiryat Ye'arim. The fire was in Givat Ye'arim.

But Telzstone was evacuated?

As far as I know, only Beit Meir, Ramat Raziel and Kesalon were evacuated.

Sorry, also Givat Ye'arim. Again, that is not Telzstone. It is still terrible for the people who live there.

We could see the smoke cloud this afternoon. A deep blue sky with this monstrosity risen over the hill.

They have been allowed to go back to their houses, though a few don't have much left to go back to. They fire is not yet under control, though they hope to manage that by the afternoon.

From Jerusalem the sky is still full of smoke.

The fire, unfortunately is not out. It seems to have regained strength and is still going. From where I live, just outside jerusaelm, we are high up, We can see smoke all over the sky. Sad

Now they are expecting it to take a few days to put it out, and they've requested international assistance.

Would it be possible to change the title of this thread? The fire is all over the Jerusalem hills, and while Telzstone is at risk a lot of other yishuvim have already been evacuated - some more than once.

Thank you.

Now if you could just extend those superpowers to putting out the fire...

The fire has been declared under control, and people are able to return to their homes. Hopefully they will be able to completely extinguish it in the cooler temperatures overnight.
