We have a family wedding next week and a family member gave me black elegant dresses for my kids. I can’t afford to buy anything so I was really excited that they fit. But now with the weather still in the 80s I’m thinking if my kids could wear it as they will need black tights to it. Will they stick out with all black at an august wedding?

I think you can wear black dress with nude tights, or use with black tights & they wont be the only ones

How old are they? Could you pair the dress with white tights and shoes and a white hair band? Or instead of tights, white socks with a black lacey trim? I hate seeing little girls dressed entirely in black.

They’re 5 and 10. They only wear tights. I hate the look of white tights with a black dress.

I think black tights is a bit much in 80+ degree weather. And no matter how elegant the dresses are, it won't be a good look in this weather to have little girls in black tights.
Do you like the look of lacy white tights? Or sparkly Champaign tights with gold shoes?

I second the idea of lacy cream/champagne tights.
Of course, I am not an intowner, so I don't know what is fashionable by you, but the idea of little girls in August wearing full black and black tights seems way too much.

It's perfectly fine for girls five and ten to wear black tights next week. I also hate the look of white tights with black dresses. I would much rather have the black dress /black tights look

No black tights in August.
Not sure what circles you are in, but do they have to cover their legs? If not I would look for some dressy metallic sandals?
