We like the residence inn on Pico. Like others have posted there is a large Persian presence there. The first time I was there and walking alone I freaked out about being in a neighborhood with lots of Arabic writing not knowing it was Jewish Persian

I'm from LA. La brea/hancock park/Fairfax etc is one contiguous neighborhood, and there isn't a huge persian presence there.
The big Persian presence is in Pico-Robertson/Beverly Hills.
Note sure abt Encino/Tarzana- but definitely not as large a community.
You're looking at zip codes 90035 and (more expensive, Beverly Hills) 90212
