That is a long day for nursery

My dd is in a Flatbush nursery from 8:45-3:30. But I live nearby and won't be doing bus so it will probably be 9/915-315.

Wow lucky! I feel so bad for my child! The closer it gets to school the more upset I get about it

We all went through this. I couldn't relax while my kids were out. But eventually they get used to it. And they adore school.

Wow, these are crazy hours for pre school. My elementary girls have this hours. I'd never send to a pre school with such hours. Aren't most pre school hours 9:30-2:30/45?

Plenty of mothers are working with multiple kids and don't have time to wait for one bus at 8am and another bus at 9am. They're happy to send the multiple children onto the bus together with someone to be there for their little one.

Not upset at all.
As a working mom, I need these hours. My child has been going out for those hours (or longer) since 7 weeks old.
She actually likes the long day, and entertaining her from 4-7 is perfect for an hour free play, an hour with mom, an hour for dinner/ bath/ bedtime

My kids are home by 4 20. They get used to it super fast. I never had an issue. They have resting time. No napping

I believe the entire preschool (or at least most) ends at 3:30. Buses pull out at 4

I don't want to make you feel worse, OP;

but your DD will probably fall asleep on the bus ride home
which may mess up bedtime.

I would look for pre-school with shorter hours.

Within walking distance, if possible, so no long bus ride.

I'd only send to pre school with such long hours if I'd be working and need the child care.
