It's really hard to watch your child in pain:( can she drink a bottle or watch a video to distract herself?

she can't drink while she's getting the shot since she can choke but can right afterwards, it somewhat helps, she's little I don't think watching a video would help she's crying because it hurts allot not because she's nerves

Thank you!! It's not new but it's given to preemies etc.
I don't think it hurts more than usual but I'm not sure, whenever I ask the nurses they always say it's no big deal and that I just have to get used to it..

Good luck. My baby got one dose of synagis IV. The hospital told me it’s not a vaccine, it’s antibodies.

My son had to get the RSV vaccines every month throughout his first cold season because he was also a preemie. Give her lots of hugs, and stay calm, let her cry without shushing her, just be there. have a little treat or surprise when she's calm enough to notice. My ds bh is 16 now, and has no recollection of these shots btw.

The shots were always hard for me with my kids (to see them cry etc), but not as hard as when I had to have my son's eyes examined also because he was a preemie. That was the worst. That's all I'll say.
