And you buy all your music individually, how do you keep the price you pay from skyrocketing?
I've been paying for Spotify for the last couple of years, but I'm uncomfortable with having access to all non-Jewish songs, for various reasons. It would do a lot for my peace of mind to have access only to Jewish music.
However, I can't possibly buy all the music that I like. I have 210 songs in my "Liked Songs" playlist that I don't currently own, plus many other albums and songs in other playlists.
Any ideas? I don't like Jewish Music Stream.

Is that the kind of thing I can use on the treadmill, in the car, on breaks at work, etc.?
Can my husband and I both use it out of the house?
Can you choose what music to stream and make playlists?

I've long wished that there was a Jewish music streaming service...

These are not paid services. Are they legal? Are they paying the artists? How do the artists feel about them?

This is what I mean. Who is paying the artists for the use of their music?

Artists make nothing from CDs. Usually the sales don’t even cover the cost of making the CD. They make money from weddings and concerts.

I don't think that's for us to decide. They chose to SELL their CDs. That means they expect to make some money from it (even if you think it's not enough money).
Sharing someone's music without permission is asur.

I would happily pay for a streaming service, but I don't think we should be promoting a free service that is essentially stealing.

Is this supposed to be an excuse to be able to use their music without paying? If artists didn’t make anything on cd’s they would give them out free. Not sell them in stores.

Some artists aren’t available on jmusic due to them reuqesting it being taken down. In addition there’s copyright sound notes in the albums as well so you can’t listen to it straight.
They also offer links to websites where you can buy the full CD.

The right thing to do would presumably be to ask the artist BEFORE posting it online. Not expecting artists to research which websites are sharing their music for free and asking them to take it down.

They pay the artist for every song that gets listened to. Some artist don't have a contract with jmusic so you won't find their music on it

They also work very hard so the music shouldn't be able to get downloaded illegally
