How do I prevent it drying out while heating? Should I add water to it?
Thanks!

If you add water it will go mushy. Put some foil over the top to stop it drying out. In my family, the crunchy bits at the bottom from when it has sat on the platta for a while are everyone's favourites.

I'm going to try putting a pan of hot water on the hotplate and then put the pan of food into it so it sort of steams. not sure it'll work.
