Hi Ladies,

Please help me save my Yom Tov roast. I pulled out what I thought was a corned beef deckel from my freezer, baked it overnight with water and onions, and now realize it was not corned beef, but a regular deckel roast. Can't Believe It

So, basically, I have boiled meat...

Looking for any ideas for a sauce that could save it...all suggestions welcome.

Wishing everyone a k'siva v'chasima tova, and may all of our problems be of the size of this one BE'H.

Thanks!

Season the water it's sitting in with salt until it tastes very tasty. Really, you've got to taste and get it flavorful. Let it sit in it.
When rewarming, rewarm it in half of that tasty cooking liquid and half of your favorite sauce.

Ketchup, brown sugar, orange juice, garlic, salt and pepper.

Add to the water tomato paste, garlic powder, green olives, and a few branches of fresh rosemary. It tastes best if you let it simmer for a bit, to take the sharpness out of the tomatoes. Resist the urge to add a pinch of sugar. You'll just ruin it.

This is great with all cuts of chicken, too. Very Mediterranean.
