When installing dimmer switches for fixtures with LED bulbs, electrician used a dimmer switch that looks like this and its white.

Imho these switches look ok and blend with a white wall, but not ok with a beige, grey or any other color wall.

Wouldnt it make more sense to use a rotary dimmer, and I'd be able to replace the switchplate and knob with the correct color, any time I paint that wall?

I think there are rotary dimmer switches that are LED compatible.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Which dimmer switches are the easiest to replace the parts you see on the wall, when you paint a room, without needing an electrician to replace the dimmer switch?

All our door frame moldings are white and our light switches are white and it all just goes well together. We have deep cream colored walls, grey walls, and various colors in the bedrooms.

Honestly I think white is fine but why can't you ask your question to the electrician who installed these?

He will recommend whats cheaper/easier to do, and also isnt into the appearance issue.

We do our own minor electrical changes. As long as the switch is compatible for LED lights, I don't think there's any difference in ease of installation in a slider vs a rotary.

Here are a few LED rotary dimmers from Home Depot.
