I was considering getting a trampoline but I'm reading about the potential safety issues surrounding it. Are there other enjoyable porch activities for kids that you can recommend?

How old are your children?
Depending on your porch you can put a baby swing or swing, but you need to make sure it's safe, a cozy coop, a little tikes trampoline (this can also be inside), outdoor bean bags, table for kinetic sand playdoh or painting, some people do a water table. I recommend tying shut the gate so the children can't go down the steps.

I wouldn't put any jumping/climbing gear on a porch unless the gate is very high.
