To eat on Yom Kippur?
If not, what do you feed them?

I couldn’t stand the smell in the apt all night.

They’ll eat leftovers from tomorrow night

Nope, I can't stand the smell.
They eat chicken cutlets, chicken patties, or deli sandwiches.

Serving my toddler the leftovers from the seuda hamefskes.

I made double, because I also want to serve it after the fast (we have a minhag to eat a y"t seuda after the fast).

No. Our meal plan is:

Breakfast- shabbos cereal Smile

Lunch- bagels

Dinners-leftovers from the seudah on erev Yom Kippur (although my kids will probably jus eat Challa, dips, and salads)

And of course as many snacks and treats as necessary to get through the day in one piece....healthy eating is not even on the agenda at all

DH said that there’s an issue with keeping food hot on Yom Kippur. I don’t know the details, but I’m giving them simple food anyway.

I've made a Chulant for many years, but this year my biggest Chulant eater is bar mitzvah and will be fasting.

I think I'm going to stick with yogurt and cold pizza.

I never made chag food. It was always a sandwich and snacks. Same when I was groeing up as well.

I did. It was filling so the kids weren't looking for food a whole day, one pot ... greatest idea.

I would go crazy from the smell of cholent! As in I would want to eat it!
I’m making schnitzel and latkes for tomorrow. They can be eaten at room temperature.
I’ll have an extra challah, the kids can have challah sandwiches for lunch tomorrow.
Breakfast is cereal and yogurts.

I think this applies to food you prepare before the fast for after the fast. I believe if it's for eating on YK then it's OK.

Am I the only person that actually likes the smell of food when I’m fasting? Not the smell of cholent particularly but I make it cos the kids eat it. They have a ‘normal’ Shabbat lunch, challah, egg, cold cuts, veggies, cholent, ice cream.

My mother used to give cholent if yom kippur fell on a shabbos. Otherwise she put kugel on the hot plate and gave with cold cuts.

I just give challa rolls and cold cuts to the younger ones. My older kids fast now.
