application. for the next few years there are no appointments. What are people doing to renew?

The first time I couldn’t find an appointment in my first choice location, I made an appointment out of state at a location with more availability that I happened to be passing through (this was pre-Covid). When I renewed a number of months ago, I didn’t want to fly so I just kept refreshing until an appointment popped up. There are Twitter bots that can be helpful for some locations. If you have an international trip planned soon, the easiest is just to do an interview on reentry, no appointment needed.
Edit—sorry, I didn’t see you said zoom interview. I don’t think that was an option when I was doing it so I haven’t tried it.

Edit—sorry, I didn’t see you said zoom interview. I don’t think that was an option when I was doing it so I haven’t tried it. | Zoom is easier but there are no appointments for the next 5 years that I checked. They're giving a grace period of 18-24 months but there are no appointments anyway.
