Hi! My husband and I just moved into Washington heights, and we need to buy Kosher wine... Although I suppose liquor of any sort would do in an emergency.
Any recommendations?

Key Food on 187th and Broadway has a small selection. There's also a liquor store around 186th and Broadway that has.

Liquor store on south side of West 181st at the top of Bennett Ave(near the shoemaker) has small selection. So does liquor store on west side of Broadway between 184th and 186th.

Its a hop skip and a jump to Skyview Wines in Riverdale, which claims (or claimed) to have the largest selection of kosher wines in the US.

OP said Washington Heights. And WADR, the blockbuster film "In the Heights" is not set in Brooklyn. "The Heights" in NYC parlance is Washington Heights, the way "the Island" is Long, not Staten.

Besides which, if OP had recently moved into Crown Heights, she would hardly have to ASK where she can buy kosher wine, don't you think?

Don’t blame her, for some people who live in Brooklyn, they have no idea the world is bigger that Brooklyn. Why would they think anything different than Brooklyn.

Only if OP has a car. By train or bus it’s a lot longer

It is. But I also wouldn't recommend carrying more than a couple of bottles on the train; its heavy.

Skyview Wines delivers, you can check to see if it includes the Heights.

haha! I opened this post wondering the same thing. My Chabad friends in Stern always got confused by which "Heights" people were referring to. We managed to figure out "the Rav" and "the Rebbe" though Wink
