My kids ate leftovers, dh is at a Simchas bais hashaiva and eating there. It's chol hamoed so I had time to make myself something that I like.

I'm having a huge salad with all the fixin's that the ppl in this house don't like- roasted peppers, quinoa, pecans, and herby grilled chicken. I even put it in a nice bowl Cool

What would you make for yourself, without taking anyone's tastebuds into consideration?

(and don't answer PB or cereal, pretend you have time and patience!)

Cereal and milk. Who wants to cook for one person?

Oh, I sometimes do, but it's quick-fixes and not healthy.
Eggs fried with tomatoes, on slices of bread.
Pasta with tomato sauce +/- cheese or else fried with eggs.
Warmed up pita bread with tuna.

I wish I had the patience and strength to make a proper healthy salad but I haven't. When I make dinner for myself, I'm usually half starving and craving for carbs.

Grilled Tuna steak with mushroom cream sauce, and mixed green salad with roasted vegetables, craisins, nuts, feta cheese and a good homemade dressing. Yum.

Nachos with melted cheese
Definitely wouldn't work hard
But if you would ask what I would want to eat if someone was offering to cook for me you would get a very different answer

Pizza. As much as I want. And I wouldn't share. And ice cream for dessert.

I wouldn't make. I would order. Probably a soup, a nice salad, and beef tacos.

Whatever it is, it would have to come with a side of french fries. The one thing I never get to eat at home since my kids nab them up before I get a chance.

Something with mushrooms or eggplant. No one else here will eat them.

And if I would be in the mood for dairy, I would buy French onion soup, haloumi salad, and eggplant parmesan. Razzle for dessert if I still have room!

It's not a treat if I have to make it.

Oh I love a big salad, with some chicken or steak on top.
Maybe Mediterranean food, like schwarma, rice and lentils, and fresh salad with a side of hummus.
Maybe some bruschetta, with fresh sourdough bread, cheese, tomato, basil, the works.
Maybe a pulled beef sandwich.
I'm hungry.

steak, kasha- I am the only one in the family who likes it, I find the taste and aroma very appealing, and it's a very satiating food. Romaine salad with a yummy dressing.

Roasted boneless chicken thighs (because no one else in this house eats dark meat. Or baked chicken, only fried/sautéed. What a machaya to just put chicken in the oven and walk away to do something while it cooks instead of standing at the stovetop…)

Something with lots of mushrooms (because no one else eats them)
