Newbie here. I see an ad for an open house that I want to go to. Can I just walk in with my husband or are we supposed to go with an agent?

Just bring yourself. The agent will be there to answer questions take offers and give you basic info about the property.

You can just walk in.
If you have been working with a specific agent who has been finding houses for you it is nice if you ask him or her to come with you so they can co-broke.

An open house is just that - open. Usually it's hosted by the seller's agent, and when you go, that agent may take your information. But you are under absolutely no obligation to use the agent. Definitely go, so you get a sense for what is available in your area.
