I saw the sod haadom course advertised. Did anyone here do it. What’s the approach?

Is it based on the nurtured heart?

I did the course. Paid much less. Nice but I found what the Guttmann sisters are doing with their challenges are more impactful. Cheaper and more practical. Changed my relationship with my husband, children and so many others. They are doing another 18 day challenge on October 18th. Good luck with the course.

The Guttmann Sisters are Raizy and Friedy Guttmann. They are OTs that help families with anxiety and delays. Last year they started programming under a non-profit - the HOPE foundation and they offer tools for parents (and all adults) working with children. They run a self-refulation challenge where you have live calls with them over 18 days that produce real change. (There’s also a group where everyone can speak with each other 24 hours.). They also have other challenges on communication, organization, time management, and so forth coming up. They are very knowledgeable, encouraging and practical. Give real tools. They also have free resources. The challenges cost a little fee - it’s 100 percent tzedaka.

They are on Instagram www.Instagram.com/handsonapproaches

Their website and blog is here: www.handsonotrehab.com

They’ve impacted all my relationships. Obviously I’m a fan. 😊

Are they married? Do they have their own children?

I believe so. They reference their children a lot. One definitely is - she shared the birth story of her last child in one of the magazines this past summer.

if that's important to you,
Tzivia grama of sod haadam was an older single. She only got married in the last decade or so, and I don't know if she has had any children. (I believe she has a lot of stepchildren)

I don't have instagram, and don't see info on eighteen day challenge in the website. Would you be able to direct me?
How much is the fee?

Could anyone tell me if my husband (men) can benefit from saad hadam course? I feel like my husband never took any parenting course and it can be very beneficial for him to take a course but I'm confused where to direct him . Can anyone advise ?

I know they had a wait list last time. E-mail info@handsonapproaches.com. Someone should be able to guide you. The price I think is $149. Completely for their non-profit so you can use tzedaka funds. Good luck.

I’d say try nurtured heart first. Way cheaper and has lots of results.

Why do you think it’s okay to use tzedaka money just because they opened a non profit? I worked for a small non for profit organization and the owners were able to pocket whatever money came in.

The poster who is looking for a top of the line parenting course should sign up for a Dina Friedman course. She doesn’t allow men to sign up but she encourages you to share the ideas with your husband so you are both on the same page.

A child who is asd will usually need different methods for effective parenting than what works for a typical child.

I’m not sure that learning parenting skills from someone who never had children is the best option. I think that being a mother should be a criteria for teaching about parenting.

Depends where you live, there's a bunch of frum trainers in the US, and a few in Canada. I know there's only one in Israel who is doing a new course soon - not sure if it's in person or on zoom. Her last one was zoom.

I believe you can look them up on the Nutured Heart website, to find a trainer who is officially registered and has completed the classes, and the yearly seminars they do to review the concepts.
