Decided to start trying to use real pans. Been wasting way too much money on disposable.
Issue is I've never owned any in my life.
Can anyone reccomed a good brand that washes easily. Peferrably online.

Go to Amazon and put in “oven to table” and see what comes up. There’s lots of choices.

I don't want oven to table.
But I'm not sure where to start. Do I want glass or metal? What size?
I prefer something as leightweight as possible. Mainly going to use it for dinner every night, which is usually chicken and roasted vegetables.

Also, how do you cover the pan, when baking chicken legs? With aluminum or do they come with oven safe lids?
(please don't laugh. )

Definitely metal. The glass is prettier but doesn't conduct heat.
And some have lids and some you need to cover with aluminum foil

I’m just imagining my pans having kids!! 😂
OP if you don’t want oven to table, and you want lightweight, I’d suggest metal.

I prefer glass or ceramic, but YMMV. See https://www.tasteofhome.com/ar.....amic/ for analysis.

Some helpful tips
- line your pan with baking paper - will make cleaning much easier
- use stainless steel - lightweight and easy to clean
- glass get very hot - I personally don't like it

When I got married 15 years ago, I bought a set of metal pans. I really don't like them - they have a non-stick coating that comes off if you scrape it clean.
About 5 years ago, I bought this Anchor Hocking set, and I absolutely love it!! If stuff gets baked onto it, I can scrape it off and the pan is fine. They wash beautifully in the dishwasher. And they're very strong.
I love that you can see through it, so I know what's being stored in the fridge.
On shabbos, I put all the leftovers into these pans (one for fish, one for meat) and it's all ready to reheat on Sunday.
DO NOT put the pan in the oven with the plastic lid on (btdt I cover with silver foil when heating in the oven.

I use Pyrex dishes for oven to table. I love them because I can bake in it, serve in it and then cover and put the leftovers in the fridge. I also use them as my mixing bowls or salad serving bowls for dinner.
I also use metal sheet pans for roasting/baking.

Nonstick stainless steel pans sound like they make the most sense for me. I wnt leightwieght and easy to clean, and doesnt get too hot to touch.
Anyone have a good brand?

I know you said lightweight, but I have to put in a vote for dutch ovens. Oven to table, with a lid so you don't have to mess around with foil. They come in a variety of materials, with cast iron being the most common (with good reason!) but you can also find ceramic, aluminum, etc. Another major pro is they can usually be used both in the oven and on the stove.
