I'm curious what the average salary for a frum guy in his high 20's would be. No specific skill, but a great employee with a managerial position that's at the same job for close to 8 years.
Just wondering if DH is being underpaid.

Full time or part time? I'm sure there is a huge range, but for full time I'd say at least 85,000. But then again, I have no clue lol

Depending on type of job. Men in the construction field that have worked for few years and are good workers usually make 100/120. Very full hours tho. Definitely not a 9-5

DH recently hired a manager for 120k I believe. But it really depends on the company and responsibilities. Manager is a very broad term.

79k gross annually. he comes home with way less after insurance and tax (his employer pays some of the insurance but not all)

Also, it's an office job, not in the construction industry

By full time you mean 9-5 or longer? Does he take home any work? Is his position easily replaceable?

His hours are pretty flexible so he doesn't get there at 9, but he's usually not home before 8-9pm so it's usually an 8-10 hour work day. And yes he works from home pretty often. Not easily replaceable, he can never take off since there's no one there that can do his job there.

I think this is a high average salary from what I see at the office I work at in Manhattan for a manager position.

In today's market in Manhattan?
It's not high average.
Positions that pay 35-40 a few years ago now have to pay 50-60.
And everything else went up accordingly.
(I work in Manhattan and I'm aware of how the hiring works.)
However, op, his gender and age makes no difference.

I don't know which industry you work but for most industries 80k is a high average salary for a manager position.

We left the tri-state 8 years ago. But when we left my husband was in his 30s, has a college degree and was working for about 7 or 8 years. He was underpaid at the time, but was making 65k for a job in Manhattan. (I had insurance from work, so he didn't take what they offered. )

We actually figured out that he's getting close to 100k if we count insurance as part of his salary, since his employer pays half and our premium is $1,600 per month.
