I have an excellent job opportunity avaliable to me in a different state. It's the kind of opportunity that I've pretty much always wanted and 7won't get where I live currently. Accepting would mean moving my family of very young children (ages 5 and under) to a new state, away from family, friends and anyone Familiar. My husband's career can transfer there...
How would you decide to accept or decline the offer?

Make a list of pros and cons.
Pro v con for taking the job.
And pro v con for not taking the job
Give each item on the list a weight and see shat you end up with
Or flip a coin and you'll see which side you really want it to fall on.

It's easier to move with young kids than older ones. What's the new community like? That's key. If it's a place with good schools and shuls, and you'd be comfortable (religiously, socially, economically) then go for it.

Exactly what I was going to say.
You have great ages for a move. If the community suits you, I'd go for it.

How far away from family is it? How close are you to your family?

The first thing that came to my mind is how long you can stay in this job. If you envision it as a long-term deal, move on to the next phase of pros and cons.
Is there job security? Are you sure you will love this and grow there? You don't want to uproot your family and then the job doesn't work out.
If the answer to those questions is yes, it sounds like a move you should make.
