Anyone know the current rules for obgyns, and hospitals in NY, for someone pregnant.
For Dr Visits, and labor and delivery.
Regarding testing, vaccinations, and masks.

I don't think there is one universal policy for all doctors and hospitals.

I am 37 weeks pregnant.

I am required to wear a mask at all times in the doctor office/hospital

I was never told that I need to test, but it could be they will test me when I am admitted to labor/delivery

My doctor strongly encouraged vaccination so I took it, but it is not required

Thanks
Do visitors need to be vaccinated?
Do you need masks during labor?

As far as I know there is no official mandate and it would depends on each dr and hospital policy

I imagine that you would have to wear a mask when there are others in the room with you during labor/delivery. I was recently in an NJ ER for trouble breathing and spent 7 hours there where I was required to wear a mask anytime someone came in the room. And NJ is a little less strict than NY right now..

I delivered this summer in long island. Doctor required masks in her office. I was tested in the hospital even though I'm vaccinated, and was supposed to wear a mask at all times in the labor Ward and if anyone was in my room after baby was born. No one really enforced though. Husband needed proof of vaccination or a negative tests. Visitors was a total of 2 visitors a day other than husband, and they couldn't come together if not vaxed, and had to be masked

What kind of proof did they require?
