I'm not sure if this a the correct forum, sorry if not.
Background: I had covid about 8 months ago, tested positive. Bh wasn't too bad, felt like a really really bad cold for a few days, and very weak for about a week after. At no point did I lose my smell or taste. I've since been vaccinated.
This past Friday I realised quite suddenly as I was cooking that I cant smell anything. I tested my taste and found I couldn't taste either. I've taken a couple covid tests between Friday and today and all came back negative. I'm otherwise feeling fine bh.
Can this be a delayed 'reaction' to covid from 8 months ago? Did I just randomly lose my senses for whatever reason? What could this be? Has anyone else experienced this?

You are probably zinc deficient as this is a common symptom of being deficient in zinc. Also only people deficient in zinc would lose their sense of smell in general during covid (unless there’s a major mucous back up)

That's very puzzling. Before covid I never heard of people losing their taste and smell so I think it must has something to do with covid.
