I just got a flip phone from at&t. I didn't take it to tag yet but I can't use it for anything besides talk and text since that's the plan I have with them
It doesn't matter. My daughter also had a talk and text only plan and she showed me how she was able to look up the weather, google home page, etc. It was VERY slow, but she managed. If its a 4G device, it needs to be filtered.

I think it depends on the phone. I have a very junky flip phone that I bought from a carrier. It is 4G. There is no way (I'm an engineer) that it can connect to anything. Bluetooth doesn't even work on it.
