What is a safe and EASY product that you could recommend for a teenage girl to use who would like to whiten up her teeth a bit just to keep her appearance nice?

Try something like Crest whitening strips. They are safe and easy to use.
If they don't work after a month or so, then ask your dentist as they have very effective procedures.
Are her teeth objectively "yellow" because generally it is people who are older who have smoked, drunk tea/coffee who have "yellow" teeth that needs lightening.
Is she comparing herself to celebrities with unrealistically "bright" teeth. I have veneers and crowns throughout my mouth and my dentist was very careful so that I don't have unrealistic white "chiclets" but that my teeth are very natural looking. They are much nicer than what my teeth were before but still not "Hollywood - instagram" bright white but I opted for a more natural look deliberately.

I don't think they are so yellow but didn't look that close. I think she just wants to be "on top of them" and maybe hears that some other girls do these things.

In that case, the Crest white strips would be perfect. They aren’t dangerous or harmful and if she wants to be on top of a non issie, why not 🤷♀️
