At what times in the year do I give a gift to babysitter?
Chanukah?

FTM. Ive read threads about giving gifts to rebbeim/moros etc

Crown heights.

I pay 7$ an hour

So what would a gift be to her?

I used to babysit. When my daughter was born the lady I used to work by heard about it, and called me to say Mazal tov. A week or so later she gave us a gorgeous outfit for my little one.

But then again we occasionally see each other through a shabbos meal or Yom tov meal.

I guess it really depends how close you feel to her and how much you appreciate her.

Try a gift card.

Some give extra money on pesach, misloach manos on purim, but Chanukah is also great.

I got my "New Year's Gift" just after Rosh Hashana.

The family paid to get my washing machine repaired, and it was extremely appreciated. They also gave me a small cash bonus.

I adore this family, and I've been with them for about 2 years.

I gave on all kinds of occasions. For rosh chodesh I gave something small like a chocolate bar. Otherwise it would be Chanukah, Purim and when I stopped sending.

Chanukah I either have smellies or milky donuts. Purim it was usually cash with my mm. End of year gifts were new cd that just got released.

A parent gave treats by rosh chodesh not every one but once in a while, acandy bar or a smoothie. It was so nice. If you want to do standard. Chanukah. I think Shaloch monos and end of year.
