Stop head and shoulders, it makes the problem worse.

Buy a shower hair brush thing and use a good and cheap shampoo, cheaper, the better. Take the time to scrub the scalp and rinse very well.

It can also help to massage some oil into the scalp.

Or look up the no poo method, it can help clear the problem up too.

I used to have it as a child and teen. I used a special shampoo that I bought in the Pharmacy.
I was something from Ducray, you can probably get in on Amazon. It worked amazing bH!

Ask you local pharmacy or dermatologist for something because she is still young... I wouldn't just buy anything...

You're sure it's not just very dry or is it soap accumulation?

I would start with the regular one first. They gave it to me at the mikvah and I was amazed at how it worked.

Also, brush her hair with a soft bristle brush. The friction of a strong brush will cause her scalp to flake even more.

It literally looks like a ton of small snowflakes in her hair

I bought for my daughter a scalp massager when she washes her hair in the bath. We really saw a difference.

Sometimes thereā€™s a fungal or bacterial component. Could even be strep overgrowth.

Could it be psoriasis?
I have that and as a kid everyone asked me why I had so much dandruff
Lol itā€™s a totally different thing and needs to be treated differently

Interesting. I'm curious why you say this.
My son had bad "cradle cap" ickiness that he never grew out of. Clinical strength head and shoulders totally cleared all of that up.
