I can think of a lot worse ways for billionaires to spend their money trying to control the world. With 105 of them, they won't probably be snobs when they grow up.

Just because people do worse things doesn't mean this is right.

There's a difference between rescuing kids in need and bringing them into the world. Bringing children into the world can be a beautiful thing and I wouldn't comment at all if for some reason not my business they opted to do it this way rather than the uh, lo tech way. But when someone does something so unusual, and so publicly, one has to wonder about the ramifications, the personal level for the kids, the societal level of this cohort being unleashed on society at the same time, particularly if they have any baggage... there's a whole lot of grist for this mill.

You're forgetting that you can't compare prices or salaries between the US or Western Europe and Georgia (or any part of the former Soviet Union). What's pennies here is huge for many people there.

The question is does she care about the kids or she care about what she gets out of this in terms of power, value, relevance, connection etc..

I will not pass judgement on them for this more than other women who have similar goals of 20 children but no money to do it this extreme.

If their children are housed, fed, clothed, educated, cared for by parent or nanny, yolo, let them do them.

I have many fights I could pick to protect children in real danger and abusive situations before taking this up.

If their country wants to make surrogate laws, they are able to.

Are these parents modern day Napolean? Maybe. It is not my business. But thanks for sharing OP.

Bisque, there's a big difference between having 20 kids over 25 years and doing it all at once.

With such a wealthy husband she can dream big - and this is the goal she sets for herself? 105 biological kids? Pathetic people.

Sounds like the beggining of a Post-apocalyptic horror movie.
Although lots of the talk I hear from mothers of double digit families sounds similiar.

Live in nannies work very hard. They may get paid a bit less because of the room and board, but definitely not "just a stipend"

I’m wondering how many people who are commenting here took the time to read the short article. Her nannies work four-day shifts. Out of their pay, they have to pay for rent somewhere else.

This is not parenting. This is "Celebrity Hoarding."

105 is such a random number. I wonder why she chose it, is it significant somehow? Numerology?

I really do feel bad for those kids. I also feel bad for the nannies.

(I'm bottle feeding an abandoned kitten right now, and it's a lot of work. I can't even imagine!)
