Must I wear a poofy gown made out of gowns material to sibling’s wedding or can I wear the styles you see in department stores?

Most adults don't wear poofy anymore.

A married women? Since when do you have to wear poofy? (cute word btw Smile)
I have a siblings wedding soon and I'm wearing a lace gown with the tiniest petticoat.

The type in department stores often doesn’t look good in Tzniyus. They look like shabbos robes.
They look sophisticated with huge slits and revealing necklines, or arms

Found a silk gown that I love and makes me feel so regal. But I wonder if I’ll be under dressed

Remember hair and makeup (and coordinating kids outfits if applicable ) go a long way towards looking dressed up too

My dds wore gowns purchased online and department stores. They matched shells. They refused to wear puffy or any petticoats. They looked beautiful.
Wear whatever you like and feel comfortable in.

You can definitely wear it. I’ve worn that sort of gown and gotten tons of compliments. As long as it’s dressy and long.

Many married sibs wear not-poofy. May just want to check what the other marrieds (if there are) are doing, you don't necessarily want to be so different.

My sister wore a stunning column gown to my wedding. She was Pippa to my Kate, and just as I hoped, she stole the show! I dislike ‘puffy’ on grown women

There’s no rule that poufy is a must or they poufy is bad for a married woman. You wear what you like and what suits your figure. I personally wore poufy as a young married woman because I looked really good in it and that style suits me a lot more than these straight looking things
