My husband cracked his tooth.
He doesn't have a dentist nor does he have dental insurance.
He says it hurts his nerve when he eats.
Any ideas of which dentist he can go to? is it worth to get on dental insurance asap?

I don't believe you can legally get dental insurance after the fact; pretty sure it only covers what happens once you're insured.
If you are low income, there is a dental clinic at NJCMD at Rutgers Newark

You can sign up for a dental discount plan. My husband once needed a root canal and had no insurance. I called up the dentist and asked which discount plan they participate in, then I signed up. I think it kicked in the next day. It's not insurance but rather a discount on services.

Call dr plaut. He gives a kollel or chinuch discount. He’ll fit him in today and very honest

When it happened to me, the dentist told me even if I would’ve had insurance, it wouldn’t have saved me too much between the premium and the minimal amount they actually pay towards these things.

Right...insurance might make you sign up for the year which might come out more then if you just pay the full amount now.

If you're willing to go to Manhattan you can go to NYU dental school or Columbia dental school.
