I love my Swarovski watch!!
Got it 4 years ago and only had to change the leather band once.
Also, the face 'glass' is not glass - its Swarovski, I believe, so no cracks or chips

I love Michael Kors watches. I just got the MK Darci in two tone. This is the online link but I got it for less than half this price at the outlet store near me:

Am I the only one who likes to buy watches that look not all that different from the ones in the link but cost roughy $25 ($40ish if not on sale?) on Amazon so I can enjoy the style, not care too much if it gets wet/broken/strap worn out and then update to a new style? Are the $200 watches lasting longer than 8 of my cheap ones?

I personally wouldn't spend $200 on a watch, but I prefer brand name, quality watches for $40-60. Look into Fossil watches. They have a warranty and good sales. They're my go-to brand. They know watches.

Yes, my last Amazon $25ish-on-sale watch is Fossil, leather band, simple but pretty, holding up well enough. Previously I had a couple of different Nine West watches that I liked the style and didn't care if it wasn't any special quality. One was going on two years when I lost it (was sad to lose something I liked but not TOO sad because it was under $20) and the one before that I had for a while but the fabric on the band wore out - that one wasn't nice enough for Shabbos, though; at the time I had a Shabbos watch for $8 from Walmart Very Happy

I'm a but of a watch connassaur. It's not only about how it looks, watches should also be good quality so they don't break after a year. There are features like type of movement, if you want complications like day/date, type of material on the dial etc.
The fashion brand name watches sold in department stores are high price tag for junk materials. You are paying for the name. Michael Kors is trash.
In terms of very highest quality watches, you are talking about brands like IWC, Longines, Breguet , Rado, Omega etc. Also extremely expensive and not many people are looking for that.
I'd reccomend Tissot (favorite), Seiko, or Movado. A step down, Swatch or Bulova. They are very good quality craftmenship, beautiful faces, and under the same ownership as some of the higher end brands but are not nearly as expensive. Sometimes Nordstrom Rack has Tissot sales and you can find them for somewhere between 2-700. I got a gorgeous one from there that was around 500 marked down from 1000.
