This was a choice you made by sending your daughter to this school.

Really?
She probably decided on this school before covid was around.

I’m in NY, would rather not say where. I would feel terrible if someone figures out what school it is, and then badmouths them.

So am I. I hope my school doesn’t catch this bug.
On second thought, I wouldn’t mind skipping PTA...

Actually I didn’t :-) it’s my daughters first year in real school. I usually keep my kids in playgroup/Gan type school through pre-k

I think this is just an “on paper” policy, to cover themselves just in case.

It was such an easy conversation!

Her: hi, this is xxx, returning your call. I heard you are a little upset about the email we sent regarding the workshop?
Me: no, not upset at all! Just wondering if there’s another option aside from vaccinating.
Her: just make sure you wear your mask properly
Me: no problem.
Her: have a great night
Me: you too!

Yup. Not the poster you were questioning, but I'll answer. Without a second thought. Scared of the legal risk, otherwise I would have have no qualms. They have no rights over my body, and the mandates make no sense.

Looks like it’s what they call “Halacha lo lmaasa” the way some restaurants put out signs that you need to be vaccinated but don’t ask for proof.

Would they accept a very recent negative PCR test?

This makes sense. Can you do this?

Oh sounds like it was so on paper they seem to be complying.

OP's issue was resolved, and lying is against halacha, so this thread is getting locked. If OP or anyone else feels it needs to be reopened, please let me know. -- imasinger, as mod
