Ok crockpots are on my wanting list. And now the whole shul cooking staff (me and the sluchim) is sick Bh I feel better today. And I think for cholent I want to have a crockpot. I can toivel in the river outside my door Bh (I can’t toivel myself there 😢) anyhoo don’t know how many liters I want to have at least a big chicken in it and veggies. But now we are only with two of us

Probably 4 liters. Try to get an oval or rectangular shape, if you want to fit a whole chicken.
We have 4 liters and it's great for making dinner for 4 people, and it fits a whole chicken over vegetables. A cholent in that size crockpot feeds 6-8 people.

It's hard to know what's available where you live, but I own a one litre slow cooker (actually I own two) which is a perfect size for chulent for two or three people.
On the other hand, it wouldn't fit a big chicken and vegetables.

If you go to the shop and tell them.what you need, they'll be able to advise you about the best size and brand.

Ok I have a 5.7 liter crockpot now I called him Chizkie. Anyhoo it's from the brand crockpot now need to find out to use it on shabbos. Couldn't toivel it btw cuz the river was too low... but bh I was early enough to sell
