Help needed coat for husky (fat-obese) husband

I hope someone been there done that can advice me.
My husband is obese, and he needs a winter.coat.
He is very fat by his belly, less by shoulders.
In coats where his shoulders/chest part look good, it's too tight by his belly but those that fits belly comfortable, looks huge on him.
Are there any coats made for such a fit.
What did you get your husband.
I really want to find something.that looks decent on him.

A good tailor is what you need.

They will take in the shoulders. It might be best to buy the coat at a good store which provides tailoring services on site because they will then take responsibility for it turning out well and will provide you with the coat that is most suitable for that kind of alteration.

I know that Nordstroms (for example) has in house tailoring. Not recommending Nordstroms but just pointing out that alterations are a service that many high quality stores provide. This is especially true of men's clothing which traditionally is always altered.
