Just a side thing you mentioned, regarding getting doctor's appointments for the same day - in my experience, it's very worthwhile to be on excellent terms with the secretaries in your local kuppat cholim branch. They can work miracles - for people they like.
Jobs - keep trying. Is there anything outside your field that you would consider as a gap filler? A few years ago they were always looking for English speakers for call centers. Not a great job, but maybe as a stepping stone?

they are very nice to work for | I just came across this post and wanted to say that citybook does not just hire anyone. Ive been living here for a long time and looking for a job and have sent my resume to them countless times and have never had a call back.
So while yes, working from home is nice (is that new? It wasnt like that years ago) and all, its not a sure thing that they take all women.
