Can you define the principle which DH sometimes quotes that three times is a Chazokoh.
I know there is a strong Inyan that if a shidduch has been suggested for an individual three times it's a very positive sign.
If in an example a child falls down three times what does that suggest?
When does this principle apply and when should a person take no notice of it?

It has halachic weight in many cases.
eg. woman has a hargasha 3 times with no blood doesn't have to check any more.
eg. an ox that does damage 3 times is considered a dangerous ox (baba kama).
But if a shidduch is suggested 3 times it's just common sense that there might be something in it and worth looking into or trying out.
And with a child falling 3 times - if it's in exactly the same place 3 times, you should probably check if there's something he's tripping over or if something's making him anxious at that spot.
I think people just use it in free speech - oh 3 times, a chazaka - you know, it means you have to keep doing it. But it's not with everything, it's only when halacha applies it.
