We are kh a family of 7. 4 of us eat lunch at home. Everyone eats breakfast and supper at home. We try not to use any disposables.
Bh we have 2 dishwashers.
I usually run both of them daily.
Is that crazy?
I see lots of ppl here posting that they run theirs twice a week.
So I started thinking it's crazy to do it so often.
What do you say?

If it is full, run it. Why is this a question?

We eat on disposable plates, but real flatware and real serving dishes, pans, and pots. 6 kids, two adults, fleishigs for dinner every night. We run it there times a week usually, occasionally 4.
(ETA I don't cook every night, I cook in larger batches and my family is gook with the same dinner two nights in a row. Any night I cook, I run it)

Either each daily, or milky one twice a day.
Nothing crazy. 6 people here, 1 person has lunch at home (guess who).

7 people here. We don't use paperware except plastic cups or we'd get through so many glasses every day. I usually run both every day and after shabbos I run the meaty one twice.

Same except I do 2 on Friday and one on sunday.
We mostly use disposable plates and cups as well but I put in all of my pots and serving things and that fills it up.
But, why minimize running the machine? It uses less water than washing and minimizes disposables.

3 people (2 adults and a toddler) and we run the dishwasher basically daily. My husband wants a second one.
We don’t use disposables for plates or pans, though we do line baking sheets with tinfoil or put leftovers in a ziplock.

We use disposables (trying to move away from that) so it's mostly servingware pots and some utensils. I'd say 2-3 times a week each DW.
