Collecting is going on for teachers Chanukah gifts in my kids school. I’m all for it, I’m a teacher myself;)
This is what I’m having a hard time with. If the class representative is collecting, if you don’t give them you’re not written down as part of the class check/gift I’m assuming. But it really adds up, especially as we iyH have more kids etc. Part of me just wants to give a nice but cheap gift on my own that will show appreciation but wouldn’t be as expensive. But I don’t want to stick out like that and I don’t want the teacher/class representative to feel like I’m cheap/not appreciative. Thoughts?
