My daughter in 8th grade, would love a camp focused on drama.

She went to BRC last year and did not like it. She felt she couldn't relate to the girls.

Looking for sleepaway ideas

Looks like it is what she wants! Thr price tag is a bit higher than expected at 4k. I was expecting more like 3k.

Any other ideas?

Ncsy is great with scholarships if you need one.

Tizmoret Shoshana. Somewhat to the right of Meor, slightly less expensive (and shorter, I think). Very creative types who are also super friendly and inclusive of all. They haven't yet posted dates and rates, it should be up just after Chanukah, but I might be able to find out sooner. I think there are discounts for newcomers, PM me for details if you like.

imasinger- will it actually happen though? Last year even when the other camps opened tizmoret Shoshana kept going back and forth and then ended up just being on zoom. I was hoping to send my daughter last year but we weren't interested in zoom.

Unfortunately that is just what MO campus cost. But I know several girls that have gone to Meor (a couple from before it became an ncsy camp) and they all rave about it and are all really wonderful kids with beautiful middos.

They are signing a contract with a facility soon, it's in final review.

ok.
I applied to other camps for her but not sure she'll actually get in to either. I'm on tizmoret shoshana's e-mail list so I'll guess I'll hear once things are finalized.

I didn't but just clicked on the website based on your post and see that they are requiring everyone to be vaccinated. My daughter isn't so I guess there goes that....

But why? Scratching Head
If it's suitable for your daughter and she wants it then why not?
Nobody will know it your get a scholarship unless you stamp it on your forehead.
Wouldn't it be a pity to decline? Applying for scholarship is not stealing.

I'm not small bean but I doubt I would qualify for a scholarship. There's a limit to how much I would want to spend on drama camp for my daughter though. The two don't contradict each other.
