They sure are, they’re REAL diamonds just not naturally grown.
They sparkle just like real ones, it’s real not costume.

Why not?
She doesn’t even want diamonds , just 14K, considering the fact that it’s earrings (not a big piece like necklace) then there isn’t much gold involved. She can get a pair for very cheap!!

14K gold earrings are really not expensive.
Stop stressing and go buy the earrings.

Especially this time of year! Op, look for jewelry sales at department stores starting black Friday. You may even be able to get real diamond studs for way cheaper than you think. You often can find those posted as "doorbusters" and can be surprisingly inexpensive.

I'm thinking of getting an engagement ring in lab...
(my real ring was lost ages ago and I've been wearing a CZ...I haven't gotten a piece of jewerly in a while so I'm thinking of doing an emerald shaped diamond in the middle with either two trapezoids or emerald shaped on the side..)

OP, 14k earring with CZ or a lab grown is a good idea. It’s not a major luxury or by far irresponsible.
Please buy and you should have me at simchas to wear them to.

Ok. I wasn't clear maybe...
I want diamond earrings to replace my wedding ones. Not plain studs. I want something dangling. It just doesnt need to be real diamonds, as It'll prob be too pricey. But even gold, I imagine would be at least $4-500.
Silver is not my thing. If I really wanted that, I can get by any department store/tJ maxx for cheap.
I always wear cheap things. I want one quality thing that will be nice and not lose the color. And yes, I want it by 40 for my kids weddings - more than by 50, when I may be almost done.

I am not sure what this means. Can you get the stones from your wedding earrings reset into the earrings you want?
And if they are real diamonds, they have to be worth something... perhaps you can sell them and use the $ to purchase lab-grown earrings in the setting you want.

This is $120: https://www.overstock.com/Jewe......html
These are under $90: https://www.macys.com/shop/pro.....72855
$110: https://www.macys.com/shop/pro.....72855
I think with a $150 budget you can get something nice that meets your criteria. No need to spend $400+

None of these are in style or what anyone would consider "simcha" wear for a woman in her 40s.
I think op should get a nice pair of earrings and fargin herself a very basic joy.

Its a big post earring with a flower. Style of $25 yrs ago, not hanging, and hurts my ear. Still nice though and sentimental. A friend of mine suggested I can do a ring out if it.
Although they are real, it has diamond chips which are not worth much. The design is what u pay for. I tried trading in to diff three places, and the most I would get is $250.

I dont care so much for the diamond to be real, I do want though 14k. I checked out good imitations, but saw nothing I loved. Additionally, spending $100 on fake is not worth it.

I am a jewelry designer, and I can tell you that the $100 dollars will cover the cost of the gold for the earrings. CZ stones cost pennies these days, so you're not even paying for that. Moissonite, white topaz, white sapphire, and lab diamonds are all good alternatives. Each will have a different refractory index (Moissonite is the highest, and some people find it TOO sparkly.)
IMHO, CZ and white sapphire are the most convincing substitutes for diamonds. If you want a single carat per ear, CZ is really the way to go. If you go smaller, you can get sapphire or topaz at a very reasonable price, but they have to be AAA quality in order to really look good.
Look at the price of these posts, and remember that you are looking at a wholesale price, not retail. https://www.firemountaingems.c.....601mt
These little ones are just under $100 https://www.firemountaingems.c.....802mt
New Precious Metal Prices for Nov 15, 2021 to Nov 21, 2021
Gold Precious Metal Pricing
$1,857.90
Price up from last week 3.438 %
Silver Precious Metal Pricing
$24.98
Price up from last week 5.268 %
Metal prices are going through the roof. You might want to consider gold vermeil or gold filled, unless you have metal allergies.
White topaz, 8mm looks about like 1+ karat https://www.firemountaingems.c.....036fg
Cubic Zirconia, same size https://www.firemountaingems.c.....007yw
CZ studs set in sterling silver (looks like white gold) https://www.firemountaingems.c.....024je
The only other place you will find these prices, is at Rio Grande https://www.riogrande.com/
ETA: I just checked Rio Grande. They've changed their format to strictly wholesale now, so you'll need a business license to buy from them.
Can you tell I love looking at jewelry stuff?

I've gotten dressy dangly 14k earrings for $400 or less. With gemstones or diamond chips. Look on ebay or etsy, you may be surprised at what you can find. Going into a brick and mortar jewelry store is probably the most expensive way to buy jewelry.
BTW as someone in your age category I'd advise against getting very trendy ones and instead buying something timeless and classic.

OK, just saw this while I was doing my mega post. What kind of dangly do you have in mind? Chandelier type? How long? Antique looking or modern?
Do any of these do it for you? https://www.google.com/search?.....=0.91
I'm always happy to go shopping, even if it isn't for me.

EBay has far, far cheaper earrings. You can plug in your preferred price range when you search.

Yes, I'm a big fan of eBay, just never bought anything more than about $200 there. Nervous about the quality of 14kt gold bought online. Def want something classy, yet not totally outdated.
I'd rather invest in something that will last. Thinking the yiddishe stores cater to our style and quality. But maybe its all in the head. Do you think I can find kallah type of earrings online for cheaper than the stores? Something that will befit for mother of the bride?
Thanks FF for taking the time to send the links. I'll look through them soon....

Kallah type earrings in a frum store are probably trendier/younger than what you seem to be looking for. Not really suitable for MOB.
Plus they are bound to be very overpriced.
