Moving to KGH iy"H.
Can anyone tell me which mikvaos in the area there are?
Are they clean?

Which rabbanim accept shailas? (drop offs)

Thx!

There's the kgh Mikva on vleigh. Haven't been there in a while, but never noticed any issue with cleanliness. There's a second one in Hillcrest, which is a little farther, nicer, and more expensive, I think.
Maybe there's also a shabbos one in KG, but that's probably not relevant.
Maybe rabbi welcher takes drop offs? Not sure.
I hope someone can give you more clear info...

You use the hillcrest one unless you cant (shabbos). Its soooo much nicer .
Rabbi Peretz Steinberg is very big there for shaylos but many of the shul ravs take them. Where do you plan on davening ?

Walk in. No appointments

I'm ashkenazi so I'm not comfortable making other recommendations

I haven't been there in a few months, but since covid you do need to make an appointment. They're very nice.

we lived in KGH, and I wonder why someone wants "low cost mikva " + free rav services for drop off bedikos

so, kgh mikva is clean. small rooms, need an appointment by phone always!. convenient locally

hillcrest newer, larger rooms, longer wait usually, not walkign distance for many.

to me $18-20-22 once a month , differenec of $2-4 is not breaking the bank

We pay rent, utilities. so paying for a mitzva is a zchus.

Where I feel a concern is, that people expect a rav to be avilable for important service and for free.
Dr, therapist etc all charge, why would a rav be free?

we ask our shul rav, and we pay a nice annual membership, the rav is paid a salary from our membership so we feel ok asking the rav. otherwise I really feel one should compansate a rav.

we also gift our rabbonim on different occasions, and when a rav spent time with us for any concern, we mail a check as a token of appreciation. usually same value we would pay a Dr visit.

Torah, kedusha etc should be valued and appreicated!

HUh? What are you talking about...
Where did I say I want a low cost mikva?
I pay 35$ now... im very used to spending that much a month...

Why are you going on a tangent about paying a rav to look at shailos? That was literally nowhere in the OP. Were moving from long island and many rabbanim there accept shailos. I never heard of paying to do that.

Youre making so many rude and obnoxious assumptions.

I think you're being a bit rude and making assumptions. OP is asking for advice, as she's moving to a new community. Let's be welcoming and friendly! She wants info on doing these Mitzvahs in a new place, so she entitled to ask what the going rates are...

I lived in KGH for 8 years and I was always satisfied with the KGH mikvah, maybe it's not brand new, but I never found it to be "gross" in the slightest. Only "taanah" was that the ready rooms don't have a toilet and there's only one near the entrance. I never felt the need for "greener pastures"--there was one time I thought Hillcrest would've been more convenient, but I don't know why I didn't go. I liked the fact that KGH was like 5 mins away and I could walk there.
