Some ideas:
A treat yourself kind of gift (massage, spa day etc)
cookbook
something nice for the house
something for their kids
I think in this situation the card that would go with the gift would be more meaningful. Write from the heart and present it with the gift. If your child is old enough, have them write a thank you note too

A birchas habayis plaque

Nice Salad bowl with tongs
Nice vase
