I work 9-5 Mon thru Friday, with commute it’s more like 8-6. (Fridays I go in early to leave early). Shabbos and Sundays are not really “off days” because all my kids are gone. So my one day off almost all year is this Thursday. (Dec 25 and Jan 1 are weekends this year Sad

I really want to enjoy my day off. Looking for ideas. I don’t necessarily enjoy clothes shopping, and I don’t want to go to crowded (Jewish) stores. I also figure many non Jewish stores, attractions will be closed. Maybe I’ll stay home with a latte and a book?

Looking for ideas!

Staying home with a latte and a book sounds good!

You can also try going out for breakfast or lunch/brunch,
Taking a nap,
Getting a manicure

If you work a 40 hour week plus commute, just relaxing at home may be the best vacation. Smile

Enjoy!

Mani pedi would be great but I think many places are closed.

I would stay home, daven, read, rest and maybe exercise since I never get to do that. But you have to think what ‘I don’t get tot do that’ looks like for you…

If you watch movies or shows, catch up on them! Pop some popcorn, cozy couch, movie and you are all set!

On my days off I want to get out of the house.
Maybe bec I work from home full time.

Go out and get a fun drink. If can get together for out for brunch.
Go for a walk. Bundle up. Do you have a boardwalk near you. Can you go for a short walk and sit by water. Bring your hot drink along in thermos.

I have some jobs I never have time for. Like I need fabric to fix something in my house do will go to frum fabric store.

Go Chanukah party shopping - tableware, crafts.

Go out to eat with the kids when they get home.

Cook for Shabbos so can have a fun day Friday (I get off Black Friday also)

Would you enjoy crafting on your own.
Make picture book
Paint using online tutorial

Don’t do “things you need to get done”!

Go for a nice outing with a yummy lunch - like to someplace scenic if not too cold. And with a book.
(If there’s someplace pretty that you could sit in the car…)

Or relax at home, like read and yummy food

Or painting/adult coloring

Those are my ideas
