Hi, does anyone have any experience purchasing a maissonite ring?
I just heard about this option literally today!!
don't know whether to be excited or ignore!!
I would love to buy an engagement ring (mine got lost years ago and I've been wearing a cz since)
the one I want is like 10-15k (!!!) - I'm not spending that!!
it would be like half of that in lab, and much much cheaper in maissonite.
I'm googling and it seems the claim is maissonite is just as sparkly, has the brilliance and clarity and durability...so why not? (and it doesn't lose it's sparkle over time like the CZ does)
did anyone here actually buy a maissoite ring? what is your experience?

Moissanite is more sparkly than diamond but less hard. Some people consider it TOO sparkly, especially since its being considerably cheaper than diamond means that people tend to buy items with larger stones. All that glitter can be blinding, especially in sunlight. I don’t know if moissanite is even sold in modest sizes. Anything I’ve ever seen in person or advertised is...showy.

It is fine jewelry, though, not costume. “It’s not fake diamond, it’s real moissanite.”

The one person I know who bought herself a moissanite ring has had it for a few years and loves it. She does not, however , wear it every day; strictly for special occasions.
