While working with a male in an office . How close do you stand or sit next to him if needed . For example if he needs to give over something, or show or guide you , how close are you next to each other and how do you keep your boundaries??

Personal space applies to both men and women.

It’s considered improper to breach anyones personal space.

If we're working on the same computer, then we'll sit as close as we need.
I would just be more careful that if I were working with a female, for example, giving over control of the mouse, etc.

I actually just took upon myself a resolution, that when messaging male colleagues, not to use emoticons, and not to message about non-working related topics.
Work-related I do , as it's a very common way of communicating where I work.
(I'm not talking about phone sms, I'm talking about messenger system on the computer)

I will talk about non-work topics when face-to-face (how was shabbat, etc), just not via messenger.

Set your boundaries as far apart as you’re comfortable. People will respect you for it. Follow your inner compass not anything external. Think how you would feel watching someone else or Dh in the same setting and set your boundary where you’d like to see it.
