anyone ever added water to heavy cream to get a milk consistency?

did it strongly effect the taste?

what ratio was used?

Cream isn't condensed milk, it's a related milk product with a much higher fat ratio. I don't think diluting it would give you a milk equivalent.

I dont need it to taste like milk.

I just want to use it instead of milk in a recipe and want it to be as runny as milk

Use half cream and half water.

The high fat content will give your recipe a different texture (not necessarily worse, but different.)

Does it have to be milk? Could you use orange juice, or just plain water?

just need it to smooth out farmers cheese.

I want to use heavy cream instead of milk but it may be too thick...
