I want to start making my own kishke. Reason is that my dh really likes kishke, but the only kishke they sell in my town is Meal Mart, which always falls apart.
Anyway. I have a good recipe, which is a mixture that you are supposed to form into loaves in parchement paper. My question is, do you bake the loaf first and then put it in the crockpot, or do you put the loaf in raw?
Also if u want to freeze some, should I bake it first and then freeze or freeze raw?
TIA

I freeze it raw. Put into Cholent raw. Comes out delicious.

I bake it first, then put it in the cholent. I learned the food has to be cooked (or mostly cooked) before shabbos.
